I have always liked a bargain so my ears pricked up when my sister Caroline, the mother of two ravenous teenage boys, told me that she and a group of her friends shared details by text of special offers they found in their local shops and it was saving her and her friends money.
It got me thinking - how do you know what are the current offers in your local shops?
You could walk past them each day to see what was advertised in their windows or you could actually go in, nose about and annoy the shop manager - but who has the time?
Then there are the flyers endlessly pushed through the letterbox
No, none of these were answers - there had to be a better way.
I can't remember exactly when it was but might well have been somewhere into my second pint of best (always a good time for creative thought) when the idea struck that became the start of Hurry Here Now.
Why not have a simple interactive local map based app through which local shops could tell local app users about their offers hour by hour, day by day, week by week.
This would effectively harness the power, scope and convenience of the internet directly into the hands of local shops and shoppers. No vouchers, coupons, gimmicks or annoying pop-ups, just everyday bargains for the things we all need each and every day from local shops nearby.
This is our story so far install the app here and join us in our adventure into the future.
